What is Active Directory?

Active Directory is Microsoft's trademarked directory service, an integral part of the
Windows 2000 architecture. Like other directory services, such as Novell Directory Services
(NDS), Active Directory is a centralized and standardized system that automates network
management of user data, security, and distributed resources, and enables interoperation
with other directories. Active Directory is designed especially for distributed networking
environments.

What is DNS?

DNS stands for Domain Naming Server, it is a standard of naming domains in any operational environment (Windows,Linux,Solaris,Any environment). It is a server which contains a database of all the domains and all the servers which are associated with those domains.

To reset TCP/IP manually, run the following:

1.Click Start – type “cmd” in Search. Right-click “cmd” and select “Run as administrator”

2. From the command prompt,

netsh int ip reset logfile.txt

This should reset TCP/IP and log the changes to the log file (logfile.txt) in the current directory from where it was run. You may specifiy an absolute path like c:\logfile.txt.

3. Restart the computer for the changes to take effect.

Delete a user account in windows 7

3.In the User Accounts dialog box, click Yes, and then click OK.

When you delete a user account, you can choose whether you want to keep the files created under that account; however, e-mail messages and computer settings for the account will be deleted.
